How to disable Administrative shares on Windows XP
Open Registry Editor (
Start

Run
- type
"regedit"
and press OK button)
Navigate to
"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\LanManServer\Parameters"
Right click on
"AutoShareWks"
and change its value to
"0"
